Milwaukee, Wisconsin – On Thursday, former Milwaukee Alderwoman Chantia Lewis, 41, turned her self in to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office to begin her 30-day sentence at the House of Correction (HOC). Lewis pled guilty to two felony counts for misconduct in office and campaign finance- intentionally accept unlawful disbursement in August 2022 under a plea agreement, which she would only serve 30 days in the HOC, pay restitution, serve 50 hours of community service and placed on extended supervision for three years.

Lewis is scheduled for a restitution hearing on October 7, 2022 at a Milwaukee County Circuit Court.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin- On Wednesday, the First Federal Bank of Wisconsin (formerly Mitchell Street State Bank-MSSB) at the 1000 block of W. Historic Mitchell Street held their official Grand Opening. First Federal Bank of Wisconsin (FFBW) was established in 1922 and the bank executives celebrated their 100th anniversary in conjunction with the Grand Opening at W. Historic Mitchell Street location.

The FFBW executives including First Federal chief executive and chief executive officer Edward Schaefer were at the Milwaukee Southside location on Wednesday along with Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson and Milwaukee Common Council President José G. Pérez who is the current 12 District Alderman in the area, to officially conduct the Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Ald. Pérez says the MSSB was one of the first financial institutions in Milwaukee to offer loans and banking services to the local Hispanic immigrant population by accepting the IRS ITIN number for undocumented workers (who didn’t have a valid Social Security number) in the community.

The MSSB has had a history of providing financial services to immigrants since 1907.

The FFBW bought the Mitchell Bank in December 2020 and had been gradually going through remodeling and renovation including the adjacent drive through section for the last 21 months.

The FFBW provided complimentary tacos and beverages by Taquería Corazón and paletas (Mexican popsicles) to those attending.

Waukesha. Wisconsin – Looks like a owner of rental home and property in Waukesha doesn’t want Hispanics or Latinos to apply for a 3-bedroom house that’s up for rent.

The guy goes by the name Jon in the Craigslist listing and his contact # is 262-278-8137.

According to the Waukesha tax roll, the rental house is located at 805 S. East Avenue in Waukesha and the property owner is Jon D. Rogers.

I guess he doesn’t know the State or federal law that he can’t discriminate against Hispanics or Latinos. It seems any other individual from any other race than a Hispanic can apply.

Rogers later changed his house rental ad by removing “Not Hispanic or Latino” (NHOL), which only indicates he got exposed. Instead, he later replaced NHOL with (Waukesha), but It’s a bit late because the actual Craigslist posting was copied and shared in social media.

One thing for sure, Rogers never responded when asked what did he actually meant with adding NHOL in his Craigslist house rental ad.

Waukesha County and City is known for being the epic center of the Wisconsin Trump MAGA (Make Amerikkka Great Again) cult.

Former Texas Police Constable Rodolfo “Rudy” Rodriguez Jr. Sentenced To Six Years In Federal Prison For Enticing Undocumented Individual Into Prostitution In Laredo

Rodriguez who was indicted by the feds on February 9. 2022 for attempting to entice an individual to travel in foreign commerce to engage in prostitution has been sentenced to 6 years in a federal prison.

Laredo, Texas – On Thursday, U.S. District Court Judge Alfred H. Bennett in Houston sentenced former Webb County Police Constable Rodolfo “Rudy” Rodriguez Jr., 62, to 6 years in a federal prison with condition of serving 12 months and a day in prison and five years of extended supervision, according to federal court case records. Rodriguez was also ordered not to have contact with the victim under a guilty plead agreement.

Rodriguez remains free on bail and must surrender at the Federal Bureau of Prisons at a date to be determined later.

Rodriguez pleaded guilty as a result of a plea agreement with federal prosecutors in the U.S. District Court Southern District of Texas to one count of attempted attempting to entice an individual to travel in foreign commerce to engage in prostitution.

According to the federal indictment Rodriguez engaged in coercion and enticement of an individual for the purpose of foreign commerce in prostitution activities (from Mexico to the U.S.) between June 1 and September 26, 2019 violating Section 43.02(b) of the Texas Penal Code.

Rodriguez had been a Webb County Police Constable in Laredo, Texas in Precinct 1 for at least 17 years and won reelection in 2020 with 57% of the vote.

The Webb County Commission accepted Rodriguez’s resignation on March 28.

A school building in the Laredo Independent School District was named after Rodriguez for his years of service as a Texas Constable, but the school board later decided to remove his name from the school police safety building after he was indicted by the feds.

WI DOJ DCI Agent Mark Wagner Charged With Felony In Connection With The Reckless Shooting Of Quadren L. Wilson In Madison

Wagner was released on on a $500 signature bond, pending the outcome of the criminal case.

Madison, Wisconsin – On Thursday, Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation (WI DOJ DCI) agent Mark Wagner, 49, based in Milwaukee was criminally charged with one felony count for 2nd-degree recklessly endangering safety and use of a dangerous weapon in connection with the February 3, 2022 shooting of Quadren L. Wilson, 38, in Madison who was on parole. Wagner and WI DOJ DCI agent Nathan Peskie were the only two agents of 21 law enforcement officers involved in executing an arrest warrant against Wilson who was unarmed at the time, that actually fired multiple gunshots at Wilson from behind his vehicle. Peskie has not been criminally charged yet, according to court records.

If convicted, Wagner is facing up to 10 years in prison and up to $25,000 in fines for recklessly endangering safety and an additional 5 years for use of a dangerous weapon. Wagner remains free on a $500 signature bond.

Wagner is scheduled for a status court hearing in Dane County on October 28, 2022.

Wilson was shot in the back multiple times while unarmed, inside his vehicle and complying with officer orders during a vehicle boxed-in stop.

None of the officers involved in the February 3, 2022 operation wore video body cameras, which are not required under their agencies policy or State law.

After being shot, Wilson was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police involved in the operation to apprehend Wilson apparently did not find any illegal substances or a weapon in Wilson’s vehicle.

Wilson was released after a day in the hospital and was booked at the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, despite suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and lack of adequate medical treatment at the jail.

Darryl King Rick Farmer II and the Original Black Panthers of Milwaukee had pushed for WI DOJ DCI agents Wagner and Peskie to be criminally charged and students in Madison held a walkout and protest as well demanding justice for Wilson.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin- On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, Milwaukee police are looking for the driver of a dark vehicle (Acura) who was heading along S. 16 Street and made a left turn heading Eastbound on W. Lincoln Ave. without stopping for a 61-year-old female pedestrian who was struck at around 2:56 p.m. by the vehicle while she crossed the corner. The unidentified women is seen being struck and the impact made her body fly across the street.

The driver of the vehicle kept going without stopping. Another driver stopped and exited his vehicle to aid the injured woman.

Police say, the woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries, she was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.

A nearby surveillance video camera caught the hit-and-run incident and was posted on Facebook by Eddy Lettec. Eddy also posted a still image of the vehicle showing the license plate number, which appears to be AML-872. Police hasn’t confirmed, if the vehicle was registered to that license plate number.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin – On Tuesday, Amber Corrao, 31, was sentenced to 4 1/2 years in prison with incarceration of 18 months and 3 years extended supervision for the March 25, 2021 hit-and-run death of Miguel Angel Serrano Santiago, 41, at the 2000 block of W. Grant Street.

Corrao’s driver’s license was also revoked for five years, she was ordered to take a mental health assessment test and complete 300 hours of community service, according to court records.

The criminal complaint says that Corrao while driving her blue jeep liberty at the 2000 block of W. Grant Street, she struck Serrano Santiago who was on a bicycle and didn’t stop to render aid. She then fled the scene. Serrano Santiago died at the scene.

At first, Corrao accused her boyfriend of driving, but later confessed that she was driving and did not know what she had struck with her jeep until she saw a local television news broadcast of Serrano Santiago’s death.

Federal Lawsuit Filed Against Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) For Illegally Transporting 48 Undocumented Venezuelans Residing In Texas To Massachusetts On False Pretenses

Governor DeSantis and the State of Florida funded more than $615,000 for multiple chartered flights to illegally transport nearly 50 undocumented Venezuelans (asylum-seekers) residing in San Antonio, Texas to Massachusetts in Mid-September on false promises and pretenses, according to the federal lawsuit complaint filed by Alianza Americas and Lawyers for Civil Rights.

Boston, Massachusetts – On Tuesday, Lawyers for Civil Rights announced in a press release that a federal class action lawsuit against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R), Secretary of Florida Department of Transportation Secretary Jared Perdue, the State of Florida, and their accomplices, challenging the fraudulent and discriminatory scheme to transport nearly 50 vulnerable immigrants, including women and children, from San Antonio, Texas to Martha’s Vineyard without shelter or resources in place. The lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court, District of Massachusetts on behalf of a class of affected immigrants, including the immigrants stranded in Martha’s Vineyard, and Alianza Americas, a network of migrant-led organizations supporting immigrants across the United States.

According to the class action lawsuit (35-pages), the class action members were targeted by a female named Perla and others who were contracted to induced the targeted Venezuelan immigrants to board airplanes and cross state lines under false pretenses.

Perla and others, the accomplices of state officials, including the Florida Governor, targeted immigrants recently released from shelters and made false promises of work opportunities, schooling for the children, and immigration assistance in order to induce travel. Until immediately before landing, the affected immigrants did not know they were going to Martha’s Vineyard, a geographically isolated island off the coast of Massachusetts. Once the planes landed in Martha’s Vineyard those who had coerced individuals to travel under these false pretenses disappeared, leaving the affected immigrants to learn that the offers of assistance had all been a ruse to exploit them for political purposes.

The plaintiffs who are asylum-seekers claimed that they suffered “severe emotional stress”…were left “destitute and stranded” in Massachusetts after being flown from Florida via North Carolina. They asked the court for monetary compensation for the emotional trauma that they had all suffered.

Defendant Ronald Desantis has taken credit – and assumed responsibility – for the unlawful relocation scheme and pledged to continue this reprehensible behavior. In addition to asking the federal court to enjoin Defendants from inducing immigrants to travel across state lines by fraud and misrepresentation, the class action seeks damages for the harm suffered by the migrants, according to the federal lawsuit complaint.

Previous news reports indicated that the undocumented immigrants were flown in two charter flights on September 14, 2022 from Texas to Florida, then from Florida to North Carolina and finally from North Carolina to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.

On Monday, Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar in San Antonio, Texas announced that he has initiated a criminal investigation against DeSantis, Perla and others involved in the illegal transport of undocumented Venezuelan immigrants.

Also, the National LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens) is offering a $5,000 reward for the identity and the whereabouts of Perla leading to her arrest.

San Antonio, Texas – On Monday, Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar announced that his department is initiating a criminal investigation against an unidentified individual (first name is Perla) and Governor Ron DeSantis (R) from Florida in connection with an individual being hired (contracted) to allegedly lure in false pretenses at least 48 Venezuelan undocumented immigrants including children from the Migrant Resource Center in San Antonio to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.

The 48 migrants from Venezuela were promised jobs after agreeing to travel by flight to Martha’s Vineyard for a video and photo shoot on September 14, 2022, then after the video and photo shoot, they were left stranded in the East Coast to fend for themselves and with no jobs.

DeSantis last week admitted that two charter flights were part of a State of Florida program to relocate undocumented immigrants from Florida to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, but the migrants originated from San Antonio, according to Sheriff Salazar.

The DeSantis propaganda relocation video featuring the Venezuelan undocumented immigrants has not been publicly released.

According to other news reports, the undocumented immigrants were flown from Texas to Florida and then to North Carolina and final destination to Martha’s Vineyard. The total estimated flight cost for the State of Florida was more than $615,000.

Sheriff Salazar, a Democrat called DeSantis’ relocation of 48 Venezuelan undocumented immigrants from San Antonio to the Massachusetts, a “political theater” and confirmed that he is currently working with a private attorney representing the migrants affected and with local immigrant rights advocacy groups that have stepped up to help the migrants involved. Salazar also indicated that he will cooperate with federal authorities, if the need arises, according to a press conference on Monday.

Salazar did not name DeSantis or the individual facing a criminally investigation during the press conference.

DeSantis has not responded to Sheriff Salazar’s criminal investigation probe that could implicate him conspiracy to lure 48 Venezuelan undocumented immigrants and children to travel out of state on false pretenses for the sole purpose to produce a political video to benefit DeSantis politically.

If Sheriff Salazar’s criminal investigation is successful and suspects are criminally charged in Texas, the 48 Venezuelan undocumented victims could very well earn legalization in the U.S. for being victims of a crime under federal immigration laws.

On Saturday, the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) organization offered a $5,000 reward for the identity of Perla leading to her arrest, according to Domingo García, National LULAC President. LULAC is taking this action of offering $5,000 reward to help stop the deliberate and possible illegal actions of deceiving people by enticement, García says.

Perla was described as light complected woman with blonde hair.

Off-duty 52-year-old Laredo Police Sargeant Roberto Fernández Charged With DWI In Texas, Driver’s License Confiscated For Refusing A Breathalyzer Test

Fernández refused to take both, a field sobriety and a breathalyzer test when stopped by a Texas State Patrol officer on Bob Bullock Loop in Webb County.

Laredo, Texas – On September 11, Roberto Fernández, 52, an off-duty Laredo Police Sargeant was taken into custody and charged with one misdemeanor count for driving while intoxicated (1st-offense and open container). Fernández surrendered his Texas driver’s license to the State trooper and was booked at the Webb County jail.

The Laredo Police Department reported that Sgt. Fernández was placed on administrative duties pending the outcome of the case.

According to the arrest affidavit, Fernández, a 20-year police veteran was stopped around 1:22 a.m. along the Bob Bullock Loop in Webb County during a traffic violation by a Texas Department of Public Safety highway patrol officer (TX State trooper) who noticed that Fernández was impaired. The State trooper attempted to conduct a standard field sobriety and a breathalyzer test on Fernández at the scene, but Fernández refused to take either test.

Fernández was asked to step out of his gray Silverado Chevrolet truck for a search inside and he complied. A search inside his truck yield an open alcoholic beverage container, according to the State trooper arrest affidavit.

If convicted, Fernández is facing up to six months in jail and up to $3,000 in fines and a 90-day to a 1-year suspension of his driver’s license for DWI and an additional $500 fine and up to 6-days in jail for an open container enhancement charge.
