Milwaukee, Wisconsin – On Tuesday, Martin Aurelio Martinez Rodriguez, 55, was sentenced to 12 years in prison, with 8 years incarceration and 4 years of supervision for the January 11, 2022 hit-and-run death of Donniesha Harris, 20, at the 3200 block of 108th Street near W. Oklahoma Ave. in West Allis.

Martinez Rodriguez was also ordered to pay a restitution of $15,400.27 payable to the Crime Victim Compensation Fund.

Martinez Rodriguez on January 11 was driving a gray Toyota Corolla registered to him and struck Harris as she and a friend crossed the street after getting off a bus. Harris was walking to work. Martinez Rodriguez fled the scene after striking Harris, but was arrested later that day after police received a tip where Martinez Rodriguez’s vehicle was located. Martinez Rodriguez’s vehicle front end damage and missing parts were consistent with auto debris found at the hit-and-run scene, according to the criminal complaint.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin – On Thursday, around 12:40 p.m. Police responded to shots fired at the 1300 block of W. Burnham Street and when they arrived at the scene, they found William Concepción González, 45, with fatal gunshot wounds. González was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office reported it as a homicide.

Police continue to seek suspect(s) in the homicide.

Team HAVOC Holding Overdose Awareness Day March And Four Hour Outdoor Event At Southside Milwaukee County Mitchell Park

A four hour outdoor Drug Overdose Awareness day event from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Milwaukee County Mitchell Park is expected to draw hundreds of people including family members of those victims who lost their lives to drug addiction and drug overdose by laced fentanyl drugs, and also local and state public elected officials are expected to attend.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin – On Wednesday, Team HAVOC will be holding a Drug Overdose Awareness March and a four hour outdoor event with sponsors at Milwaukee County Mitchell Park in the Southside of Milwaukee. The Team HAVOC drug awareness event is part of the International Overdose Awareness Day.

Rafael “Pancho” Mercado from Team HAVOC confirmed on Tuesday that the Drug Overdose Awareness March will begin around 5:00 p.m. from Mitchell Park and head North across the S. 27 Street Viaduct to W. Wisconsin Ave., then head Eastbound along Wisconsin Ave. to N. 16 St., then head Southbound along the S. 16 Street Viaduct to W. National Ave., then head Westbound along National Ave. to S. Layton Blvd. (S. 27th St.) and then head Northbound to Mitchell Park.

Mercado says, we will March for those lives lost and celebrate their lives and give them a voice while collecting school supplies for the kids in need and we are raffling off many great items at the Mitchell Park event. See you there and thank you, to all our sponsors.

The school supplies will be donated to both Albert E. Kagel Elementary School and H. W. Longfellow Middle School.

There will be activities for the kids, face painting, bouncing houses and special guest D.J. Cubano from Panama City Beach, Florida, according to Mercado.

In Wisconsin, there’s no law that treats a fentanyl overdose death as fentanyl poisoning (homicide crime). Most fentanyl related deaths are considered mere overdose deaths and hardly anyone selling or supplying fentanyl laced drugs get charged with intentional drug poisoning, or a drug related homicide.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office (MCMEO) reported on August 11, 2022 that the number of fentanyl deaths increased more than 170% over the past 5 years (from 2017 to 2022).

On August 10, 2022, the MCMEO reported that drug related deaths were up more than 60% from 2017 to 2021 and this year are higher.

On July 28, 2022, the MCMEO reported that 238 fentanyl deaths to date in Milwaukee County and 96 additional cases pending toxicology testing.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office reported on August 31, 2022 that more than 700 drug related deaths this year, far exceeding last year’s record number.

On September 1, 2022, the MCMEO reported that 80% percent of confirmed drug deaths this year in Milwaukee County involved fentanyl. The youngest victim was 5, and the oldest was 81.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin – On Sunday, Mexican Fiesta 2022 organizers at Summerfest grounds closed their main and South entrance gates at around 4:30 p.m. for the anticipated rain storm that was approaching the area. The entertainment at Mexican Fiesta 2022 was shut down shortly as well and festival goers took refuge at tents and other available spaces to get out of the pouring rain.

It is not clear how long the entrance gates at Mexican Fiesta 2022 will remain closed on Sunday and when will the entertainment venue at Fiesta will go back on stage.

The popular singer Paquita la del Barrio from Mexico who mocks men who break women hearts is scheduled to perform at 8:45 p.m. at the Generac Stage.

Sunday is the last day of the 3-day Mexican Fiesta 2022.

Also, reports that some performers from Mexican Fiesta 2022 heading out of Milwaukee have been stranded at the Mitchell International Airport due to the severe rain storm weather conditions.

Update: Mexican Fiesta 2022 reopened the entrance gates just before 7:00 p.m. when the rain stopped and the festival continued until closing with no incidents, according to Mexican Fiesta organizers.

Greenfield, Wisconsin – On Saturday, Darryl King Rick Farmer II and members of the Original Black Panthers of Milwaukee along with Mariah Luckett (victim) confronted Jason Diong, the owner of the Crab Du Jour, 4638 S. 76th Street for allegedly tossing an alcoholic drink at Luckett’s face causing an eye burn injury. Diong was cited for disorderly conduct by Greenfield police for the incident.

Luckett, 26, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. A St. Luke’s Hospital doctor diagnosed that Luckett had “chemical conjunctivitis of both eyes”. According to Luckett, Diong tossed a drink mixed with Hennessy, lemon juice, salt and ice in her eyes causing a chemical burn.

Diong admitted to tossing the alcoholic drink at Luckett’s face because she allegedly made racial remarks towards him and he got mad and threw the drink at her. He apologized to Luckett on Saturday.

Luckett has denied that she made any racial remarks to Diong.

Farmer II told Diong that he and the Original Black Panthers of Milwaukee want for Diong to be arrested and charged with assault and battery. Farmer II is also pushing for the Crab Du Jour in Greenfield to close down for disrespecting Black women while eating at the restaurant.

According to Diong, he told Farmer II that he turned in the inside video surveillance footage of the incident to police, but Farmer II says that he read the police report and that Diong hasn’t released the video to police.

Farmer II says that he will continue to advocate for Diong’s arrest for assault and battery charges and wants the restaurant to close.

The Greenfield Police Department has not released any information about the incident.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin – On Thursday, August 25, 2022, Dr. Ramón A. González, 96, passed away and transitioned to eternal life peacefully surrounded by family members. Dr. González was originally from the Dominican Republic and graduated from La Universidad Auto de Santo Domingo (Uasd), Fac Ce Cien Med, Santo Domingo.

In 1960, Dr. González moved to Buffalo, New York and later moved to Wisconsin and began his practice by opening up the Madre Angela Family Medical Center at the 1300 block of S. César E. Chávez Drive in the Southside of Milwaukee.

Dr. González is survived by 9 children and his wife.

González-Hernández was charged with two felony counts in connection with the stabbing/cutting of a woman and child in a domestic dispute incident in the Southside of Milwaukee.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin – On Friday, Brian González-Hernández, 18, of Milwaukee was charged with two felony counts for 2nd-degree reckless injury with enhancers for domestic abuse and use of a dangerous weapon; and child abuse-recklessly cause great harm with enhancers for domestic abuse and use of a dangerous weapon in connection with the August 15, 2022 stabbing or cutting domestic dispute incident at the 1500 block of S. 6th Street.

If convicted, González-Hernández is facing up to 12 years and 6 months in prison and up to $25,000 in fines for 2nd-degree reckless injury and an additional 9 months in jail and up to $10,000 in fines for domestic abuse and up to 5 years in prison for use of a dangerous weapon. He is also facing up to 15 years in prison and up to $50,000 in fines for child abuse-recklessly cause great harm and an additional 9 months in jail and up to $10,000 in fines for domestic abuse and up to 5 years in prison for use of a dangerous weapon.

A compentency evaluation for González-Hernández was ordered on August 20.

According to the criminal complaint, González-Hernández allegedly on August 15th stabbed or cut a 15-year-old male and a 40-year-old woman at the 1500 block of S. 6 Street during a domestic dispute. Both victims were transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

On August 19, the victim (petitioner) filed a restraining order against González-Hernández, according to Milwaukee County court records.

31-year-old Francisco García Killed During Road Rage Incident Nea r The 1900 block of W. Mitchell Street In The Southside Of Milwaukee

García and a 28-year-old suspect got into a heated road rage incident near S. 19th and W. Mitchell Streets on Saturday night in the Southside of Milwaukee ending in García’s homicide.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin – On Saturday night, police responded around 11:30 p.m. to the 1700 block of S. 19th St. and found that Pedro Francisco García Sierra, 31, had been fatally shot.

Police arrested 28-year-old male suspect in connection with García’s homicide. Both García and the suspect got into an alleged road rage incident resulting in García’s death.

Homicide charges are pending against the 28-year-old suspect.

18-year-old Lynnette Trinkle Died After Hanging Out From A Vehicle Window And Allegedly Losing Her Grip Of A Speeding Vehicle At The S. 35th Viaduct And Canal St.

Trinkle suffered head trauma after allegedly losing her grip while she was hanging out the window frame of a speeding vehicle at the North and Southbound 35th Street bridge viaduct and Canal Street, she struck the pavement after striking the rear of the vehicle.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin – On early Sunday, Milwaukee police and the Milwaukee Fire Department EMS around 2:33 a.m. responded to the South and North 35th Street bridge viaduct and Canal Street after a woman was reported injured after falling from the window frame of a speeding vehicle. Police found Lynnette Trinkle, 18, at the 100 block of N. 35 St. bridge viaduct with head injuries. 

The preliminary investigation indicated that Trinkle had been hanging out of the window frame of a speeding vehicle when she lost her grip and fell striking the rear of the vehicle and pavement along the viaduct. She died from head trauma injurings, according to police.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

Police say, the vehicle that Trinkle was a passenger off was going between 40 to 50 mph on a 35 mph zone. Police continue to investigate the fatal incident.

Update: The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported on Monday that police indicated that Trinkle was 18, but the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office reported she was 21. 

Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) also first reported on Sunday that Trinkle was 21 and revised her age when police reported on Monday she was 18.

8 Men Charged For Sexual Assault Of A Child And 1 Convicted For Child Enticement-Sexual Contact In Milwaukee

Eight men from Milwaukee charged with child sexual assault related crimes and one convicted for child enticement-sexual contact, according to Milwaukee County court records.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin – Eight men from Milwaukee have been charged with child sexual assault related crimes in Milwaukee County and another man was been convicted in June for child enticement-sexual contact.

The following suspects are:

• Victor Aldape Muñoz, 33, charged with two felony counts for 1st-degree child sexual assault-intercourse and 1st-degree child sex assault-sexual contact. Custody date: 7/19/2022, bail set at $50,000

• Elias Alvarez López, 39, charged with one felony count for repeated sexual assault of same child. Custody date: 5/7/2022, bail set at $30,000

• Christian Cardona, 21, charged with one felony count for 1st-degree child sexual assault-sexual contact. Custody date: 5/10/2022, bail set at $20,000

• Ali Hernández, 62, was charged with one felony count for repeated sexual assault of the same child. Custody date: 7/25/2022 and bail was set at $75,000

• Pedro Hernández, 37, charged with one felony count for 1st-degree degree child sexual assault-sexual contact. Custody date: 8/1/2022 and bail was set at $10,000

• Luis Ortiz-Martinez, 39, charged with one felony count for 1st-degree child sex assault-sexual contact. Custody date: 6/6/2022 and bail was set at $20,000

• Jesús Ramos-Rosales, 51, charged with two felony counts for repeated sexual assault of the same child and 1st-degree child sex assault-sexual contact. Custody date: 4/12/2022 and bail was set at $50,000

• Orlando Santiago, 20, charged with two felony counts for 1st-degree child sexual assault-intercourse and repeated sexual assault of the same child. Custody dated: 7/18/2022 and bail was set at $29,500

• Nicandro Tinoco-Cruz, 45, charged with one felony count for child enticement-sexual contact. Custody date: 6/6/2022

Tinoco-Cruz pleaded guilty due to no contest on June 6, 2022 and was sentenced to 4 years in prison and 6 years of supervision.
