Milwaukee, WI – On Monday, the residents along the 1500 block of S. 8th Street are still waiting for a second speed bump that was paid for, but the City has yet to put it in. Charlie Sánchez who lives in the block says, he is still waiting for the second speed. Former Alderman Angel Sánchez stopped by and also questioned why the second speed bump was not placed on the street. Angel says, if the residents paid for two speed bumps, they should get two of them or they should get reimbursed by the City for the one missing.
Charlie told Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) that both the 1500 blocks of S. 7 and S. 9th Streets have two speed bump between W. Greenfield Ave. and W. Lapham Blvd.
Angel, who lives on S. 8th and W. Madison Streets committed to calling the City on behave of Charlie for an answer.

Update: Alderman José G. Pérez confirmed to Hispanic News Network U.S.A. that the residents along S. 8th Street from W. Orchard to W. Lapham were charged for one speed bump and that the residents didn’t have a majority to place two speed bumps. Residents, especially La Causa who has a large property parcel from W. Greenfield Ave. to W. Orchard didn’t want to pay for a speed bump.
