Driver of vehicle fled scene after causing a two motorcycle accident on S. 27th Street near Walmart.

Milwaukee, WI – Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident that left two Milwaukee sport bike riders injured Wednesday night after a driver ran a stop light and caused an accident. The driver kept on going around 9:30 p.m. and fled the scene, but left evidence for police. A group of sport bike riders were heading South on S. 27th St. on a green light, when a vehicle on S. 30th Street was exiting the Walgreens and Walmart area failed to stop at a red light and cut-off several bikers causing a crash.
One of the bikers had a passenger with him. The passenger was able to jump off the bike and was not injured. The biker with the passenger broke his right leg and had a fractured right eye sucket and a two inch cut, which he almost lost an eye. The second biker was injured with a fractured spine, but was not hospitalized.
The injured biker with a broken leg, Omar Pesqueira, 19, with the passenger told Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) on Saturday that he was able to push his passenger off the bike just in time and she was not seriously injured.
The hit-and-run driver left a rear bumper behind after the crash with a license plate on it. Police are reviewing nearby surveillance videos from businesses to determine the make of the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
