Hundreds Fed During Milwaukee’s Southside Annual St. Vincent de Paul Society Picnic

Annual Summer Mealsite cookout draws hundreds of people to the St. Vincent de Paul Society picnic.

Milwaukee, WI – On Wednesday, St. Vincent de Paul Society held its annual Summer Mealsite cookout picnic at 931 W. Madison Street. The annual picnic drew hundreds of people who enjoyed a dinner that included hamburgers, chicken, hotdogs, beans, cookies and potato salad. Milk and juice was served by volunteers.
The meals provided at the Southside location to most people and children being served is the only meal for the day.
St. Vincent de Paul Society mission is to eliminate hunger and poverty in Milwaukee low income neighborhoods. Meals provided from donations are served to the public at 5:30 p.m. from Monday through Friday at 931 W. Madison St. at the Southside location.
